Alamo
Alamo brand focuses on budget-conscious leisure travelers.
All-the-way-up and all-the-way-down
pick up an R1 at Base and driving to T1 to deliver to T1 QTA. Requires driving “all-the-way-up” at T1 to 5th floor and turning right to go all the way to Exit and then “all-the-way down” to first floor and over to T1 QTA.
Base
2500 Stewart Avenue in St. Paul. Home location where drivers are dispatched, R1’s are picked up for return, PM’s/Shops are parked in lines for handling; new vehicles are prepped; glass damaged vehicles are behind garages.
BD
Body damage – typically glass repair or vehicle body damage – may go to Shop line or behind garage for glass repair lines.
CEL
Check Engine Light – typically will go into the Shop line at Base.
Delete
removed from service for possible sale – ends up at N5
Dirties
AKA “returns,” vehicles to be driven to T1 QTA or T2 QTA for washing.
Emerald Aisle
a loyalty program for frequent renters that includes benefits like bypassing the rental counter and choosing your own vehicle from the "Emerald Aisle".
Enterprise
Enterprise Rent-A-Car is known for "home city" (branches) rentals.
Executive
a loyalty program for frequent renters that includes benefits like bypassing the rental counter and choosing your own vehicle.
Exotics
luxury brand vehicles such as BMW or Mercedes Benz or Genesis for example. Often parked in T1 by “the wall”.
HC
Home Cities – another name for Branches. HC’s typically are picked up at T1 2nd floor and driven to a specific branch. Your Chase vehicle meets you there.
Lease returns
picked up from customer locations and returned to Roseville (1905).
LP
marking on vehicle window meaning “License Plate” that needs renewing. Some branches renew their own LP’s while others are delivered to Airport LP line on second floor T1 near Fred’s office.
MR
Manufacturer’s Recall – typically goes back to Base into the Shop line.
National
National brand typically targets business travelers.
Plates
AKA license plates or LP’s – remember to remove from WI’s at dealer delivery & return to Base admin office.
PM – Preventative Maintenance
could be either oil change or tire issues, either way goes in the PM line at Base.
R1’s
Returns from Base typically to T1 2nd floor & put in line for cleaning – or – if Return lines filled up at T1, R1’s may be driven to T1 TQA (all-the-way-up and all-the-way-down) or to the T2 QTA dirty lines.
Shops
a generic term describing a vehicle that need to be returned to Base for either PM (Preventative Maintenance) or Shop-type repairs. Shops are typically picked up to the right of the Return lanes in TI on 2nd floor or to the right of the “dirties” waiting for car wash at T2 QTA.
Shops

T1 QTA
Terminal 1 Quick Turnaround – See T1 QTA Tab for animated example. This is the cleaning area of terminal 1 on the first floor. Vehicles are parked in lanes according to type. Lane 4 is the first lane you come to and is for Exotic brand vehicles like BMW and Mercedes Benz. Lane 3 is for large SUVs like Jeep Grand Wagoneer and Trucks. Lanes 2 and Lane 1 are for remaining vehicles like sedans and smaller SUVs. Chase vehicles will meet you in the turnaround area to the left of the clean lanes.
T1 Ready Line (s)
This is the 3rd floor of Terminal 1 where customers pick up reserved vehicles. Drivers who bring vehicles to the T1 Ready line have the vehicle ID tags scanned by a worker and then directed to the following lanes to park:
T2 QTA
Terminal 2 Quick Turnaround – See T2 QTA Tab for animated example. There are several lanes to park vehicles in with no specific types. Chase vehicles will park to the left outside of the clean lanes with the very left outside lane reserved for cleaned vehicles.
T2 Ready Line
This is the 1st floor of Terminal 2 where customers pick up reserved vehicles. Drivers bring vehicles and are directed by their Lead Driver where to park them. Vehicles are parked front first into diagonal slots. When exiting be sure radio is down or off, trunk open and keys on dash. See T2 Ready Tab for animated map.
Transport
long, double-decker vehicle used to move and deliver vehicles.
Up and Downs
Typically means a crew at T1 that picks up vehicles in the Return Lane and dives down to T1 QTA to park in line for washing. Driver then goes to elevator and takes it Up to 2nd floor to pick up another Return vehicle and repeat the process. “Up is elevator to 2nd floor and Down is driving vehicle down to QTA. Up and Downs can also be run by meeting the Chase at the turnaround at the QTA.
WI
Wholesale Inventory – can be picked up at Airport or other locations and delivered to N5 for cleaning and ready-for-sale to a car dealership.
Wiper up
a vertical window wiper means the vehicle has special handling. See Lead Driver before moving.

- Vehicles are “backed in” to park so that customers can drive out. After parking the vehicle be sure the following is true: radio down or turned off, trunk open and keys on the vehicle dash. See Tab T1 Ready for animated map.
